Ending on a high note.. the December Meeting

We're very happy to be ending 2008 on a high note with Sebastian Bergmann, long time PHP contributor, taking us through unit testing in PHP. He'll be covering the basics of PHPUnit along with a look at what's new in PHPUnit3.4.

Additionally, we have a venue change this month from CodeGear to Yahoo!7 offices.

7:00pm - 8pm : Sebastian Bergmann on PHPUnit
8:00pm onward : networking, drinks, pizza along with Wii & Foosball

About Sebastian


Sebastian Bergmann is a long-time contributor to various PHP projects, including PHP itself. He is the developer of PHPUnit and offers consulting, training, and coaching services to help enterprises improve the quality assurance process for their PHP-based software projects. Sebastian also works for eZ Systems AS on the Workflow Engine for the eZ Components.

About PHPUnit


PHPUnit is a member of the xUnit family of testing frameworks and provides both a framework that makes the writing of tests easy as well as the functionality to easily run the tests and analyse their results.

About the Venue


Yahoo!7 offices are located in Walsh Bay, Sydney, about 10 minutes walk from Wynyard & Circular Quay CityRail stations.
We recommend you catch public transport to this event as the venue is close to many pubs in The Rocks.

Due to the larger than normal size of this event, attendance is strictly by RSVP only. To let us know that you are attending this event, please sign in at Upcoming (with a Yahoo! ID) and mark your attendance on our December meeting notice. Please do not email the RSVP mailbox to show your attendance.
The maximum capacity for the venue is 100 people and as OSDC is in town on the same day we recommend that you RSVP ASAP.

The Sydney PHP Group is a collection of web developers, engineers, managers and business owners in Sydney using PHP to develop and enhance their online presence. Membership is free and the Group encourages all members, beginner or advanced, to contribute to group meetings.

Meetings are free to attend and held the first Thursday of each month, with the exception of January.
